Advanced Placement Examinations Return to top

The examinations presented here are ones used for an advanced placement by satellite course presented across the country. These examinations are detailed to test a complete range of the topics traditionally covered in a college freshman chemistry course. By covering all of the traditional topics, the course hopes to cover all of the questions that may be on the AP Exams as the emphasis of the exams change from year to year.

The advanced placement examinations are different from the examinations on this CD-ROM and change from year to year. The best practice for the AP examinations is to obtain some copies of recent AP Exams. Harvey Gendreau sells the exams on diskettes with annual updates. Note the information below:

The A.P. Chemistry Exams are now on Disk!

The 1970 thru 1997 Part II Questions AND ANSWERS!!! ( 28 years of information)

The College Entrance Examination Board's Advanced Placement Exams in Chemistry are now available on computer disk. The problems, essays and equations for Part II from 1970 to 1997 are in word processing files for Macintosh and PC computers in a number of different formats.

The questions have been divided and organized into topics (i.e., acid-base, nuclear, thermodynamics, etc.) so you can readily see the number, frequency, and types of questions asked in that area. Although there is a copyright on these questions by the Educational Testing Service, reproduction of the examination questions by classroom teachers is permitted for face-to-face teaching purposes.

Please include your school affiliation, even if the disk is to be sent to your home.
