Next week (February 18 -
22, 2002) we will do Exp #3: Shifting Reactions (distributed in class on
wednesday, February 13, 2002). The Pre-Laboratory
assignment is to complete a Web-based exercise prior to attending your
laboratory/discussion section. The Pre-Lab assignment consists of four pages:
2 pages of questions that are based on viewing several QuickTime movies,
and two pages listing your responses (to the questions) that you are to
print out and bring with you to laboratory.
Help Session will be on
Thursday, February 14, 2002 at 7:00 pm in PS141. Valentine's Day! Looks
like there is not a best day for our Help Session this week. If this time
and day do not work for you, remember I will be in my office all day Wednesday
and Thursday, and even today. You are welcome to drop by with your questions.
In PS4.6 replace the reference
to europium with the element chromium.
The PLE for Wednesday's
class is now available.
Did someone leave their
watch in PS103 (Cory's section) on Tuesday afternoon/evening at the exam?
The watch is in Dr. G's office. Drop by, describe and claim.
PS4 (Problem Set link) and
the laboratory experiment (Laboratory link) for next week were distributed
in class on Friday, February 8, 2002. There are several Pre-laboratory questions
that must be completed before you begin the laboratory. Check the laboratory
link for more information.
GRADES ARE UP!! The average
is a 63 and the high is a 93. This score was earned by two students! A tie
for high! So that is rockin'. Highest grade(s) will be announced in class
in the morning, and will receive a certificate and lots of swag! CONGRATULATIONS
to Jennifer Day and James Layton for therir outstanding performance on the
exam.
A draft TA tutoring schedule is now available at the Free Tutoring link.
