CHEM 1014 Fall 1999
- I added a list of what you should know for
our second hour exam at the Exams link. Check it out.
- I have Tuesday, October 19, 1999 lecture
notes up now.
- Kevin Steiner's calculator disappeared
from laboratory Tuesday morning. It was a graphing
calculator. Those of you in section 3 please check your
packs, perhaps you picked it up by accident thinking it
was yours. Drop by and leave it with dr. g.
- Here are some more review problems for our exam, Thursday, October 21, 1999. I
still have to put some problems like what we will cover
on Tuesday, October 19, 1999. Answers will be coming
soon. If you have ANY questions about these problems
e-mail me or drop by my office.
- Here are the answers to the above
review problem set. Please use these answers wisely. Try
the review problem set without the answers first, then
check your answers. If you do not agree drop by and see
me or send me an e-mail.
- Students are reporting an error in
the answers on problem 9e. The correct answer is
4.892x1026 atoms.
- It has been suggested that to view the
QuickTime movies, if your browser will not play them, to
right click on the quickTime icon and download the movie
and play it locally on your computer. Try that and see if
it works.
- Bring calculators to class AND laboratory
this week!!
- Here is the link to get the QuickTime (for
Mac or PC) plugin.

- Here are the movies I shot in class. If
you sit on the right (dr. g's), in the center or on the left maybe you are in the video!
- You will receive your Secret Idenification
Code Number (SIC#) in laboratory beginning Monday,
September 20, 1999. I will begin posting the grades which
I have from the TA's next week on our web site. Be sure
to check the magnitude of all your scores to be sure the
values I have agree with the values you have. If there
are ANY differences see your TA with the graded
assignment that was recorded incorrectly.
Need some Help with your chemistry? The
Chemistry Department offers free tutoring in PS023
(basement of Physical Sciences). Check the Free Tutoring
link on the left for the hours. Note that those TA's
teaching CHEM 1014 are identified with the blue color.
Don't forget my office hours are 2:30 - 3:20 pm on T and
R.
