Announcements for Thursday, May 6, 1998
- We are still grading the
examinations. I am visiting Moore High School tomorrow
afternoon and then traveling to Tulsa. So I'll not be
around much on Thursday. I'll be back in the office
Friday, May 8th. Hopefully I will be completing grades
for the class on Friday. E-mail me (some of you already
have) for your exam scores and final grades.
- Current grades as of May 6th are
now available. Double check your scores. Everything OK?
- Charles Groves found a small error
in my calculations of grades. I had not summed all of the
problem sets. Grades for PS14 and 15 on my grade sheet
were not added to the student's total, yet I divided by a
total possible which included those problem sets. After
correcting this error some students course % increased by
1 or 2 %. I'll try to have recalculated grades posted
this morning.
Chris Lansdown left his
textbook in the Tutoring Room on Monday, April 27 around
10:30 a.m. If anyone picked up a book and now realizes
they have an extra BLB please return it to Chris or Dr. G. ASAP. Chris says he really
misses his textbook.
Dr. Rockley and I would like
our students to complete an end of the semester survey. Click here to get to it. There will be extra credit points awarded to each student who completes
the survey. Thank you for your participation. (You only
need to do the survey once.) Please read the instructions
carefully. Please complete by Thursday, May 7, 1998.
Justin Brooks has done it again. He has
made an Excel
spreadsheet which allows you to enter your grades for
homework, laboratory and exams and it will calculate what
your grade is in class. This is VERY handy and if you
fool around with it you can figure out what you need to
do to get a particular grade. Thanks Justin!
