• OK, I have Self-Test #2 ready. Give it a shot. (Check the Self-Test link.)
  • Problem Set #2 is on the Problem Set link. If you want yours early help yourself. I'll pass out copies in class tomorrow.
  • I've added notes for Monday, January 17, 2000 lecture.
  • Check the lecture notes for Wednesday (1/17/00) and Friday (1/14/00). I've added some of the images and movies we viewed in class on Friday. You need to know the physical and chemical properties of these substances. You will need to recall the Name and Password I gave you in class on Friday to view these Copyrighted materials. E-mail me if you need this information.
  • In laboratory during the Week of January 18 - 21, 2000 you will check into your lockers. Tuesday you may have questions from the Problem Set for your TA. Wednesday - Friday you will have a new problem set to play with. Bring questions to class.
  • Need a periodic table? Check the Database link. I recommend the WebElements Periodic Table.
  • The Chemistry Department offers free tutoring in PS023. For a tentative schedule go to the Free Tutoring link. The tutoring will begin Monday, January 17, 2000. Names in red are our TA's and they will know more about what is happening in our class. TA names in blue have taught 1215 with me before.
  • The actual due date for Problem Set #1 is Wednesday, January 19, 2000 at the beginning of class. Also an error of omission was discovered in PS1.2. After the last sentence add, "Categorize each of these properties as physical or chemical."
  • For Friday's class I would recommend reading pages 57 - 66 and pages 85 - 96 in Zumdahl.
  • Welcome to CHEM 1215. In order to post grade information (scores on problem sets, laboratory's and exams) I need your permission. Go the SID#/Name link and enter a number, name or combination unique to you. I will post grade information using your SID# or SIDName. There are some additional questions that I would like you to answer for some EXTRA CREDIT.
  • Our teaching assistants this semester are James Greuel (401, 403 and 405), Dattatri Negesha (402, 404 and 406), and Joe Studer (407, 408 and 409).
