Chapter 11: Introduction to Modern Atomic Theory

Electromagnetic radiation includes 'light' in a wild range of wavelengths and frequencies.

The electromagnetic spectrum is the term we use to describe the different regions of electromagnetic radiation.

The regions are classified on the basis of wavelengths (or freqency) and include; TV and radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible, ultraviolet, X-rays, and cosmic rays. \

TV and radio waves can wavelengths from a meter to longer lengths. Microwaves have wavelengths between 0.01 meters and 0.0001 meters
