2. What is term used to describe K?

3. K for the reaction in Q1 has a value of 33.3 at 760 degrees Celsius. At equilibrium will the amount of products or reactants be greater? Explain

4. Write the equilibrium expression for the reaction

PCl3(g) + Cl2(g) PCl5(g)

5. What is the magnitude of K for the reaction in Q4? (Hint)

6. At equilibrium will the amount of products or reactants be greater in the equilibrium reaction described in Q4? Explain

7. Explain what the term extent of reaction means. In an equilibrium expression what quantity is a measure of extent?

8. Is there anything about the reaction or the questions that you feel you do not understand? List your concerns/questions.

After doing this PLE you should be able to do problems like 17.12 - 17.15 (an expression for Q (reaction quotient) is the same as an equilibrium expression for K), 17.16, 17.17, 17.22, 17.23.
