BCE49 |
This BCE uses images and movies to introduce reversible and irreversible reactions. This would be the first activity to introduce the concept of chemical equilibrium. |

Shifting Reactions B |
This is a student activity that investigates a reaction (R(g) + BG(g) --> RG(g) + B(g)) and how changing concentration of reactants and/or products impact the concentration of the the other species in the reaction. |

Extent of a Reaction |
This is a student activity that investigates a series of experiments to collect data about the extent of the reaction. After watching one experiment, students are invited to make predictions about the extent of the reaction in a series of addition experiments. At the end students organize the results to identify a pattern that leads to inventing the concept of an equilibrium constant. |
