Dear Participants,

We have really enjoyed working with all of you this week. You were the hardest working group we have ever had. We hope that the institute was helpful to you. I hope you find some time for relaxing this summer. When you start putting together lesson plans for next year, be sure to send us an e-mail if you have questions. If you have questions during the school year, send those along also. Sign up on the AP Chem listserv at http://www.collegeboard.org/ap/listserv/tech.html. AP Chemistry teachers from all over the country will help answer your questions, offer help and suggestions, and give moral support.

Check out the institute web site for the web sites that we looked at Monday night. John has added links to the animations he used in his presentations (http://intro.chem.okstate.edu/2001APInstitute/Favorites.html). The institute web site is http://intro.chem.okstate.edu/. WeÕve also updated the list of interesting Web sites (http://intro.chem.okstate.edu/2001APInstitute/WebAddresses.html).

Put October 18, 2001 on your calendar. That is the date of the Oklahoma Science Teachers' Association convention. The meeting will be from 8:30 to 4:30 in Alva, OK. The keynote speaker is Janice van Cleeve, author of several books for science fair ideas and ideas for science activities. At 7:00 p.m., Dr. Stephen J. Gould from Harvard University will speak. This is an opportunity that you will not want to miss.

Please send all your ideas and suggestions to us for the institute next year.

Have a great year and we hope to see you next summer,

John, Valerie, and Deborah
